KATHRYN HUNLEY (Kathryn Eileen when she got caught jumping in her great-aunt’s flower bed)
has been drawing and writing since she could hold a pencil. A graphic designer and illustrator for 20 years,
she's worked at a PR firm, ad agency, newspaper and a television station before going freelance.

Kathryn's illustrations are created using acrylic paint, colored pencils and ink on Strathmore 500
archival bristol board. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators
and is currently on the board of advisors for the SCBWI Central/Coastal California region.

She lives in Southern California with her husband, two cockatiels, and a stash of Mad magazines from the 1970’s.
